Coco FerrariCertified Pilates and Yoga Instructor
Coco found Pilates about a decade ago and loved how good it made her feel long after class was over. A chronic back injury that she been trying to heal for a number of years finally recovered through a commitment to her regular Pilates practice. The changes she experienced through both Pilates and yoga are mental as well as physical, and she finds it incredibly rewarding to watch that process unfold in others. Sharing the things she loves with people who are curious about them is a passion of hers, which is why she became a teacher. Coco is a certified Pilates instructor through Carrie Macy’s 600 hour advanced teacher training in Los Angeles, and she has been teaching erotic movement for 8 years. Coco is also a YOGA-BC registered teacher, a Yoga Alliance RYT 200hr registered teacher trained by Chris Chavez in the Chris Chavez 200 hour Hatha and Anusara teacher training. She enjoys being a student just as much as she enjoys being a teacher. Warm sunshine, dark chocolate, unconditional love, sweating with friends and travel are the foundation of her very happy life. “My greatest inspiration is my 90 year old grandmother. When she’s not busy travelling the world, she still does aerobics five days a week. She is a living example that we can cultivate more flexibility in our body and mind at any age.”
Ryan loves to infuse his teaching with the energy and enthusiasm he has for the relationships that shape our movements. You can often find him geeking out to Anatomy, riding his bike on the streets of Vancouver or playing on some random monkey bars with his son. He grew up playing competitive soccer and rugby and lifting weights to find power, strength and speed within those endeavours. Those endeavours also brought a lot of injuries which have been vital in his understanding not only of the body, but of the human experience of it at its best and worst. His experience as a kinesiologist, personal trainer and a pilates teacher led him towards an alignment focused practice which focuses on bringing attention and awareness to the patterns that shape our minds, bodies and movements. He believes that clients experiencing these patterns within their own bodies is the best way to manifest change in their life.
